Must be able to work two scheduled Saturdays a month.  This position is to assist the Vehicle Auction Coordinator in day to day operations of the Auto Auction and support the Auto Lot Attendant when needed. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Take all calls from donors, provide information on donating vehicles, coordinate the pickup of the vehicle from the vehicle’s location, provide information on the Auto Auction procedures and/or policies, data entry in Microsoft Access/Excel, and filing.  Other duties may be assigned.  Must have computer knowledge/skills and must be proficient in Word, Excel and Access. A 3-5 minute Excel test will be given during interview. Must be able to occasionally lift twenty-five (25) pounds, be able to push/pull fifty (50) pounds, and must be able to bend, squat, reach, and stretch. Must be able to work outside in extreme weather conditions. Program Services

 

Job Title:  Program Services Social Worker
Location:  Dayton and Greater Dayton Area

Program Services Social Worker would provide social work services as needed in various programs, including Behavioral Health, Child and Senior Services, DD Services and Workforce Development.  This person will provide social work/counseling services with referred Home Choice consumers according to ODM regulations for Home Choice Social Work/Counseling Services.  Coordinate with Home Choice Transition Coordinators and provide various social work functions in collaboration with a community partner seeking to link their clients with community resources.  This person will be responsible for completing behavioral health diagnostic assessments and treatment plans for Job Development case managers working with clients with mental health issues, as needed and assist participants and caregivers in making psychosocial adjustment to Adult Day Services program and provide on-going support, as needed. Education should include a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work; Preferably Master’s degree in Social Work and have the credential of Licensed Social Worker (LSW).

The Direct Support Specialist will provide home and community based services to individuals referred by contracting agencies according to their individualized service plans. Duties include providing basic personal care and grooming, bathing (and bladder/bowel requirements), care of hair and assistance with clothing, household services essential to the consumer’s health and comfort in the home (e.g. necessary changing of bed linens or rearranging of furniture to facilitate ease of movement in the home), cooking including feeding if necessary, cleaning, laundry and shopping.  Group home experience and background working with individuals on the autism spectrum preferred.  A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two years’ experience within MRDD field are required to be successful in this position.

The function of this position is to provide supervision of and assistance to participants in the Adult Day Care Program. The major focus of the position is to maintain the participants’ safety, well-being, dignity and general overall involvement in day to day activities, as well as encourage and promote independent living skills. Assist the Activities Facilitator in planning and implementing recreational, social and therapeutic activities, in accordance with program mission.  State tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) required as well as a High School Diploma or a GED. Minimum two (2) years of experience working with physically and/or mentally impaired adults. Demonstrate initiative, as well as, the ability to work cohesively within a team. Provide assistance, encouragement and support for persons who are blind or visually impaired. This position requires Excellent computer skills.  Word, Excel, Internet and other proprietary systems.  The position will require learning adaptive software (JAWS and Zoom Text) to enable you to train and assist participants on new job sites.  Support consumers as they learn job functions and appropriate behaviors for maintaining employment.  A variety of work experience and knowledge of the current job market is also necessary.  Other job functions will include the ability to complete weekly written reports, attend appropriate staff meetings, and display strong consumer advocacy. This is an on call position to join a labor pool of specialized job coaches.  Hours vary and will be inconsistent.  Knowledge in working with individuals with vision loss or the willingness to learn.  Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel throughout the GESMV 17 county service area.

This position enables consumers to learn duties, functions and appropriate behaviors needed to maintain employment.  Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:  Train consumer according to I.S.P. (Individual Service Plan), goals and objectives as noted by support team; Case note and evaluate consumer's progress; Turn in required paperwork (weekly, monthly) on time and re-checked for accuracy; Report to job site coordinator any changes, incidents or problems in a timely manner, using the most viable option. The function of this position is to support the vision and mission of Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley.   The Transition Specialist works with the Ohio Department of Medicaid, HOME Choice Transition Coordinator and the HOME Choice Case manager to successfully relocate an institution resident from the institution to the community.  Assist in educating Nursing Facilities, Hospitals and other LTC constituents to the HOME Choice program with the express objective to gain referrals to the HOME Choice program.  Work with the Nursing Facility (NF), Hospital and other LTC staff in providing information on the HOME Choice program including letter from ODM, a fact sheet, brochures and application.  Work with the referred resident and assist them through the transition process encouraging participation of the resident’s family and friends.  Bachelor’s Degree in Human Service or related Field preferred.

This position is not a Goodwill Easter Seals position, but a position for Shelby County Counseling Center.  We are posting on their behalf; however, applications will be accepted through the GESMV application system. 

 

 This position will provide counseling, consultation, assessment/evaluation, crisis intervention, screening, referral, discharge planning, support services and case management to all alcohol and drug clients seeking services/treatment at the counseling center.   Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:  Work with all departments and assist Shelby County Counseling Center clients with problems of living, in order to improve their mental health and wellness, and improve overall quality of life.  Conduct an initial assessment/evaluation with selected clients and develop and coordinate individual treatment plans with all selected clients. Develop and provide resources and materials, and teach support training on recovery, goal setting, finances legal issues, client success skills, and more.  Provide counseling and support services to clients who are struggling with alcohol and drug issues, maintaining recovery, personal challenges, health/wellness, employment issues, financial and legal concerns.  This counseling/consultation and will be provided both at Shelby County Counseling Center and at several community locations in Shelby County.  Serve as a liaison between Shelby County Counseling Center and local area resources, referral sources, educational programs, and community partners.  Education and experience requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in a related field plus 3-4 years related work experience. Licensure as a chemical dependency counselor (LICDC or LCDC) and previous experience in providing counseling/consultation and supportive services to a diverse population which also includes mentoring, teaching, training, facilitating, or coaching.  Experience in developing individual treatment or action plans and resources for clients and/or consumers in a diverse setting. Experience in building and maintaining relationships across departments and community organizations. Experience in case management, customer service, working with more than one population, and a demonstrated understanding of client needs. Ability to demonstrate good written and oral communication skills and knowledge of community resources.
