Job Title:    Ecommerce Clerk

To assist in the overall operation of the Retail Operations E-Commerce Department.  Perform initial sort and grading of product sent from retail stores via transportation.  Select appropriate merchandise for ecommerce website(s). Utilize multiple software programs to list items for sale online.  Assign correct location codes to all merchandise.  Properly describe all items per website/software guidelines. Shelve acceptable inventory into assigned location.

The Donation Attendant accepts merchandise donations according to procedures.  The Donation Attendant must be able to maintain a cheerful and pleasant disposition, when serving customers, loads and sort materials on trailer according to instructions, maintain records of donations, provides daily reports on trailer condition.  They must follow instructions on care of trailer and posting of signs as needed, and maintain premises in compliance with Agency safety and housekeeping practices.  Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and pass a criminal background check.

Job Title:     Alcohol/Drug Counselor
Location:    Shelby County Counseling Center

Provide counseling, consultation, assessment/evaluation, crisis intervention, screening, referral, discharge planning, support services and case management to all alcohol and drug clients seeking services/treatment at the counseling center.  Work with all departments and assist Shelby County Counseling Center clients with problems of living, in order to improve their mental health and wellness, and improve overall quality of life. Conduct an initial assessment/evaluation with selected clients.

Develop and coordinate individual treatment plans with all selected clients. Develop and provide resources and materials, and teach support training on recovery, goal setting, finances legal issues, client success skills, and more. Provide counseling and support services to clients who are struggling with alcohol and drug issues, maintaining recovery, personal challenges, health/wellness, employment issues, financial and legal concerns.  This counseling/consultation and will be provided both at Shelby County Counseling Center and at several community locations in Shelby County.

Seeking an individual who is flexible with scheduling, a motivator, clear communicator, problem-solver, goal-setter, mentor, able to develop close personal and professional relationships, contributor to their community, and committed to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities become integrated into their community personally and professionally.  The primary function of this position is to support the mission of Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley by assisting individuals to identify, acquire and maintain community employment.  Recipients of this service will be individuals with developmental disabilities who are either: 1. Transitioning from high school to adult life situations or; 2. Transitioning from isolating environments (sheltered employment/enclaves/day habilitation programs) into community-based employment settings.          Facilitate and develop individualized, purposeful, and diverse goals based upon the individual’s interests, strengths, needs, and choices according to the ISP (Individualized Service Plan), IPE (Individualized Plan for Employment), and all other assessments to achieve integration in to the community and competitive employment.  Facilitate person centered planning to complete individual profile used for job development. Incorporate various teaching strategies utilizing available curriculum and encompassing all areas of life domains. Model behavior to improve independence and responsibility.

 

Job Title:    Driver/Activity Specialist I

The function of this position is to provide supervision of and assistance to participants in the Adult Day Care Program. The major focus of the position is to maintain the participants’ safety, well-being, dignity and general overall involvement in day to day activities, as well as encourage and promote independent living skills. Assist the Activities Facilitator in planning and implementing recreational, social and therapeutic activities, in accordance with program mission.  State tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) required as well as a High School Diploma or a GED. Minimum two (2) years of experience working with physically and/or mentally impaired adults. Demonstrate initiative, as well as, the ability to work cohesively within a team. Successful candidate must have the ability to show care, warmth, patience, and nurturing to the target population and must be able to follow through with projects in a timely and efficient manner.  Position will require the candidate to be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable driving record in order to drive a van and transport participants.

The function of this position is to provide transportation to the participants within Allen Co and surrounding Counties.  Assistance, as directed, within the program areas and route development is a major function of this position. Maintain the policies and procedures of GESMV.  Transport participants to and from medical, non-medical appointments and job sites, as scheduled, providing door-to-door assistance.  Follow established centers policy regarding participant confidentially.  Accurately record daily mileage, drop off and pick up times and participants’ attendance.  Must present all documentation concerning client contact, transfer receipts and other required billing documentation to the Program Coordinator or Immediate Supervisor on a daily basis.

The Direct Support Specialist will provide home and community based services to individuals referred by contracting agencies according to their individualized service plans. Duties include providing basic personal care and grooming, bathing (and bladder/bowel requirements), care of hair and assistance with clothing, household services essential to the consumer’s health and comfort in the home (e.g. necessary changing of bed linens or rearranging of furniture to facilitate ease of movement in the home), cooking including feeding if necessary, cleaning, laundry and shopping.  Group home experience and background working with individuals on the autism spectrum preferred.  A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two years’ experience within MRDD field are required to be successful in this position

This position enables consumers to learn duties, functions and appropriate behaviors needed to maintain employment.  Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:  Train consumer according to I.S.P. (Individual Service Plan), goals and objectives as noted by support team; Case note and evaluate consumer's progress; Turn in required paperwork (weekly, monthly) on time and re-checked for accuracy; Report to job site coordinator any changes, incidents or problems in a timely manner, using the most viable option. (phone, beeper, incident report); Advocate for consumer at all times; Attend all required staffings for consumer and participate when required; Assist employers to develop techniques to effectively supervise consumers and work to maintain satisfactory Goodwill/Employer relationship; Work as a substitute Job Coach.  Must be at least 21 years of age and provide own transportation and adequate liability insurance for such.

Promotes successful employment of members through regular contact and an established job search/retention routine assessing the individual's skills/education, work history, schedules, and transportation needs.

Provides individual support to assist members in the development and on-going management of their Service Plans, identification of barriers to employment and access to barrier removal support services. Conduct, teach, and coach job search techniques. Match STAR Employer job opportunities with available job seeking Members. Facilitate job search/career information workshops and presentations.

The Skills Training Facilitator manages all facets of the job readiness Skills Training to ensure smooth delivery of curriculum and preparedness of job seekers.  Recruits, inspires and supervises volunteers, recommends volunteer opportunities, schedules observations and manages the process. Manages and conducts the established Job Readiness Skills Training to provide participants the skills needed to find and keep employment and to ensure consistency across sites. Works with Advancement Specialist/Program Supervisor to monitor and adjust curriculum, classroom materials and activities to keep the workshop relevant and to meet the needs of job seekers and employers.  This may include the recommendation of tools, equipment and other technology to best present the material and for optimal participant experience.  Oversees workshop schedule and backups, monitors volunteer participation, and workshop needs for proper coverage of mock interviews and financial presentations.

Establishes annual goals and writes goal updates and performance reviews for all Direct Reports. Holds regular 1:1s and team meetings to promote individual growth, teamwork and to establish regular communication channels between line staff and management. Serves as a role model for the highest level of professional conduct and standards of behavior. Provides regular updates to Senior Leadership on team performance, member performance and any developing issues that need to be addressed. Provides Dayton Works staff with training and materials for advancement process; monitors usage and makes adjustments as needed.
