Job Title:   Sales Clerk/Processor

Status:   Part-Time/Full-Time

Duties include selecting and pricing donated items to be sold in retail store. Process donations, hang clothing, operate register, and load/unload trailers. Experience in retail and operating a cash register is helpful. Accepts merchandise donations according to procedures in manual.  Must be able to maintain a cheerful and pleasant disposition when serving customers.  Loads and sorts materials on trailer according to instructions.  Maintain records of donations, provides daily reports on trailer condition.  Follows instructions on care of trailer and posting of signs as needed.  Maintains premises in compliance with Agency safety and housekeeping practices.  Complies with Goodwill Industries of the Miami Valley's rules and regulations.  Ensure compliance with all Agency policies, procedures throughout areas and maintain same to meet CARF, Department of Labor and other regulatory standards.  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Provide assistance, encouragement and support for deaf/hard of hearing and persons with disabilities. Support consumers as they learn job functions and appropriate behaviors for maintaining employment.  Strong evaluation skills and knowledge of disabilities and deaf culture are a necessity for this position.  A variety of work experience and knowledge of the current job market is also necessary.  Other job functions will include the ability to complete weekly written reports, attend appropriate staff meetings, and display strong consumer advocacy. This is an on call position to join a labor pool of interpreting job coaches.  Hours vary and will be inconsistent.  American Sign Language preferred but not required.

 

Job Title:   Adult Day Service Facilitator

The function of this position is to provide on-site and off-site supervision and assume oversight responsibility for the daily operation and provision of services (including transportation) and to develop and implement curriculum and activities consistent with best practices that include community engagement, vocational opportunities, and person centered planning. Facilitate and participate in team meetings and activities that support individuals who attend the program.  Assure that health, safety and welfare is protected for individuals who participate in the day program activities. Promote and enhance the involvement of guardians, family, community and other service providers.

 

Job Title:   Car Seat Safety Coordinator
Location: Dayton (Kuntz Rd)

To distribute appropriate car seats to eligible customers and to provide education on general child passenger safety. Responsible for obtaining and maintaining child passenger safety certification and maintain current knowledge of child passenger safety regulations.  Participation on safety committees as necessary.  Coordinate and instruct child passenger safety classes or sessions when necessary.

Responsible for determining customer eligibility for car seats and to educate eligible customers on child passenger safety and proper use of car seats.  Candidate will be responsible for distributing appropriate car seats to eligible customers and maintaining the car seat inventory.  Responsible for Presentations in the Community and/or Trainings on Car Seat Safety to include complete documentation and reports in accordance with ODPS , ODH and or GESMV regulations and/or standards.  Responsible for ALL deliverables under any grant (s) awarded through ODPS, ODH, CMC, MVH or any other current and/or future Stakeholders.
