To donate a vehicle to the Goodwill Auto Donation and Auction program, please fill out and submit the form below. We will call you to confirm your donation within 24 business hours. We will schedule pickups within 24 business hours after confirmation of your title being notarized.

Types of Vehicles Accepted For Donation at the Goodwill Auto Auction

Goodwill Auto Auction accepts vehicles for donation if they are complete, have not been parted out, have not been severely wrecked, are accessible for pickup, and have a lien-free title. Vehicles do not need to be in running condition.

We accept almost ALL modes of transportation – cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles, RVs, fleet vehicles, industrial trucks and farm equipment – working or not.

STEP 2: GETTING YOUR TITLE NOTARIZED (For Boat and Watercraft only)

New in 2023 in The State of Ohio:

It Is No Longer Necessary to Have Your Title Notarized for Donations of Motor Vehicles, Motorcycles, Motor Homes, and Mopeds.

STEP 3: PREPARING YOUR VEHICLE FOR DONATION

Prior to donating your vehicle, you may want to take one last look through the interior and in the trunk to remove personal items and items with your name and address on them. In addition, please remove the license plates prior to donation. Donating your car, truck, boat or RV to Goodwill is a generous gift. We wouldn’t want you to accidentally leave anything in your car.

STEP 4: WE PICK UP YOUR VEHICLE — FREE

Whether your car, truck, SUV, or boat runs or not, we will tow it away for you for free.
All units must be free of any debris, trash or bulk items prior to pick-up. We will not accept your donation on day of tow if these items are still in the vehicle.
In the online donation form, you can provide the address and location of the vehicle.

Step 5: Receive Your Tax Deduction

Goodwill will send you a letter after the vehicle is sold, telling you the amount we received for your vehicle. This information can attach a copy of the letter to an income tax return for proof of donation. Under new tax laws effective in 2005, you may claim the actual amount for which the vehicle sells at auction. Please tell us how we did by completing the customer satisfaction survey.

How to Complete Your Title to Donate

New in 2023 in The State of Ohio:

  • It is no longer necessary to have your title notarized for donations of motor vehicles, motorcycles, motor homes, and mopeds.
  • For boats, watercraft, or corporate vehicle donations, you must have the title notarized. (See below for more information)
  • The yellow highlighted spaces represent pieces of information that must be completed on the title when donating your vehicle to the Goodwill Auto Auction, a service of Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley.
  • Please check with your banking institution or credit union that you have an account with as some institutions will notarize your signature(s) at no cost to you.

Please Note: If the vehicle possesses two owners on the title, both owners must sign the title. In addition, the title can possess no other marks or "White Out". Please contact 937-228-2886 if you have any questions.
