Meet David, who lives with significant vision loss. Though he was born legally blind, David is now totally blind as his vision has deteriorated over time. Thanks to Goodwill Easterseals Miami Valley's Vision Services department David life is robust and active with greater accessibility. Read more about David and his journey to independence.

Now Enrolling - Senior Adult Day Service

Easterseals is the nation’s leader in providing adult day services. We offer a safe, caring home-away from-home and person-centered program for seniors who want to maintain their independence at home and in the community.
Our adult day support services are available M-F (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM)
with locations in Beavercreek and Trotwood.

Meet Sierra

2024 Employment independence award winner:

Michael McBride

Sierra participated in the Project Search Program through Goodwill Easterseals Miami Valley. Project Search is a program for persons who have disabilities and are getting ready to graduate from High School and are preparing to enter the work force. Goodwill provides the job coaching and training for Project Search and helps individuals transition from High School to Employment. Sierra had a passion to work in the health care field. Her father, who passed away, was nurse and she so much wanted to carry on the legacy of helping others. Watch to find out how Sierra transitioned from a shy high school student to a confident employee working at Sion Medical Center.

Medical Equipment Loan Program - Limited Delivery

Goodwill Easterseals Miami Valley lends assistive-living medical equipment to anyone in need. We offer wheelchairs, commodes, walkers, crutches and more free of charge. We also accept donations of medical equipment (some restrictions apply.)

Michael McBride

Meet Chris who had a rough childhood and ended up incarcerated for 15 years. After being released Chris participated in the Goodwill Easterseals Community Outreach Program in Lima, Ohio. He is now moving mountains and embracing his independence. To learn more about Chris and the Outreach program click on the button to watch his entire story.

Our Radio Reading Service broadcasts readings of local and regional newspapers, magazines, books and other printed information to people with visual disabilities and other physical or mental impairments. Through this free service you can stay connected to your community despite a disability.
