We want to help everyone reach their full potential, at work or play, regardless of age or ability. We have programs for seniors and youth, resources for those with developmental disabilities, assistance with behavioral health, job readiness, and more.
GESMV offers many programs designed to promote job readiness and prepare people for a new career. Veterans are assisted through our Veteran & Employers Connection program. Others looking to break the cycle of generational poverty can find help through Miami Valley Works. Workforce Development assists those with other challenges or barriers to employment.
Individuals with mental health or addiction challenges receive support and guidance through our Behavioral Health programs, which focus on recovery and skills training to boost success and self-sufficiency. Services include our Main Street Recovery Center and Miracle Clubhouse, among others.
Every child, particularly those with disabilities, need a great start in life. From car seat safety to child screening, we are committed to helping kids stay safe and learn independence.
As adults age, they face a host of challenges. For those seniors – and their loved ones – our programs provide the support and outreach needed to ensure they are thriving. We offer services that give mental and physical support and education for both seniors and caregivers.
People with developmental disabilities deserve the same opportunities to participate in daily activities, both individually and as part of the community. We work with individuals and caregivers on employment training, workplace opportunities, adult day support, and offer personal/in home services.
Outreach services help individuals with disabilities and their families seek out and connect with community resources, including: Our free Community Computer lab, for job searches and resume building; assistance with job readiness and employment; and Self-sufficiency assessments and case management services. For young adults our services helps individuals overcome barriers and achieve self-sufficiency through training, education, and employment.
Goodwill Easterseals Miami Valley offers free medical equipment loans, assistive technology devices, and a radio reading service. We also provide accessibility evaluations of Dayton-area facilities and locations.
