Thanksgiving hits different for me this year. My mom, who I love with everything in me, passed away on November 3rd. I’m sure many of you either knew my mom personally or know of her, because I’ve mentioned her in many of my posts. Not only was she an amazing mother but she was a great woman and my advocate. This thanksgiving I thank the lord for mom’s 92 years of life. Because of her love and support I am the happy, independent, and faith driven woman I am today. Mom, I will miss you more than words could ever say. You’ll forever be in my heart. I love you!
Shari
Here’s what a few of my coworkers are thankful for this year:
Tiffany- I’m thankful for my family, especially this year. After experiencing loss in 2024, I am deeply grateful that my husband and children are healthy and thriving—they truly mean the world to me. I’m also incredibly thankful for celebrating one year of home ownership, a milestone that fills me with pride and gratitude!
Connie-I am like most people so very thankful and grateful for my beautiful family, my children, grandchildren, my wonderful husband of 48 years. Next, I am thankful for my home and my health, and wonderful friends. Most of all I am thankful to my Lord and Savior and that I live free. God, Family, and Country. I am truly blessed. 😊
Matt- There are many things that I am thankful for this year. First, I am thankful for my job here at Goodwill. I am thankful for the opportunities Goodwill makes available. The people I work with are helpful, kind and supportive.
Secondly, I am thankful for my family. My family has always been very important to me. My parents are awesome. I appreciate in the summer how Mom helps me with my garden. Dad has been very supportive of helping me on the way to achieve a Network+ certification. In addition, I enjoy working on little projects around my house with him.
Third, I am thankful for my health. I am thankful for being blessed with such great genes.
Dawn- What am I thankful for…It seems with each year that passes the list of things I am grateful for becomes shorter however they are more impactful to my life. I will always be thankful for my children, family and each day the Lord wakes me up. This year I have focused on setting healthy boundaries and am thankful for those who have taught me how to set and honor these boundaries. I am thankful for being a light for people who are unable to see that there is hope and all we need is faith in the size of a mustard for anything possible.
This year find something to be thankful for.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Shari, I am thankful for the many years of friendship we’ve shared! Even though we no longer work together, I know that you are ‘there’ and we still catch up right where we left off when we get together. You are a true gem and I am grateful for you!
Kim,
I feel the same way about you! I value our friendship. Luv Ya Girly!
