Which Blog Post Tickled Your Fancy

It’s hard to believe but I’ve been blogging for a little more than seven years. Can you believe that? It seems like yesterday when I began drafting my first post, now I’ve written a thousand or more.

When creating posts I’m always trying to make sure you can hear my voice. I want to make it feel as if we’re having a conversation.  I have received many great comments over the years and personal emails from many colleagues, co-workers and friends.  Some of you have even taken the time to seek me out and have a face to face conversation.

I’m always amazed at what topics stir up conversation.  A few of my posts, I knew were hot topics such as, Services No Services, Coop’s Movie Scoop –Wonder, What Makes a Caregiver, Ohio First In Assistive Technology, Why I’m Not Saying Yes, It Could’ve Been Me and Uncommon Courtesy.  Others, such as Smile, Tiny, 16 Feet, 45 & Fabulous, Straws Are My Life, Land And Wait, and Don’t Shoot Me There, were topics that has personally affected me. The blog gave me an avenue to share good news or vent when something was getting on my nerves.  Sometimes, you have to let things out or they will drive you bananas.

Over the years, I have learned that different topics make people tick and that there are some situations so hot and current, they are talked about for years.  A comment that sticks out was from a colleague who said, “Shari, I really loved the blog post you wrote a year ago about paying it forward”.  His comment really shocked me. For one, he remembered a blog post from the previous year.  Secondly, I didn’t even think that was one of my best posts, but he did.

I actually see people sharing some of my posts on their Facebook page, website and in their newsletter.  I would like to thank everyone for their support and want you to know how much I appreciate you listening to my experiences.

I really love blogging and since I love it so, I want my followers to be satisfied.   I truly believe there’s a blogger in all of us. I’m fortunate to have an employer that has started me on this path by giving me the opportunity to stir my creative juices and share. I’m also aware the blog wouldn’t be anything without all of you. So, help me to keep pushing myself in keeping you informed and entertain! As I focus on the future and how to continue to grow Make Things Happen, I would love your feedback in sharing which blog post tickled your fancy?
